We like many dishes from Anne's Kitchen, but tonight we tried her "Black Dinnah". It is so good: the flavors are wonderful and it included the traditional black recado, chicken, and the hard boiled egg, plus corn tortillas. The servings were generous. She is a very talented cook.

Not much to look at, only a picnic table to eat at unless you buy to go, but the best fried chicken I've ever had. Seasoned well and made fresh. So a little bit of a wait. They open around 10:30 and they close when they're sold out, which is every fay. The Cole slaw was amazing. The mashed potatoes were cold and so was the gravy. I learned right then to order sides that don't require to be served warm. Costs of the chicken dinner was $12 Bz. A great value. They have specials from time to time, but I was told not to order those. Order what's on the menu and what they do well. Finding Anne's is a bit of a challenge. Off the beaten path, it's worth looking for. It was recommended and it did not disappoint. Give it a try...you'll be glad you did.

We had this multiple times during our time in Placencia. It was excellent each time. The stew chicken is out of this worldπ

The food here was great, we got the stewed chicken and the fried king fish and they were both delicious.

Loved loved the downhome and delicious comfort food from Anne's Kitchen. We had the oxtail, baked chicken, coconute rice and beans, stewed beans and rice; and the scalloped potatoes. There were no leftovers honey! So very good. I would love to revisit and try some of the other choices on the chalkboard. The service is very friendly and attentive.
