Chicken Joe's Placencia

I've tried a few things on the menu now. The chicken sandwich is very good and I'd definitely recommend, I've had most of the chicken sandwiches on the peninsula over the last 10 years and this is one of the best. As far as the fried chicken is concerned.....and remember this is a chicken place.....this is easily the worst chicken I've had in Belize. It was hot and crispy but drier than the Sahara and as bland and flavorful as burnt toast. Kick down fence and fibbers in Belize city is still the best chicken in Belize, and actually any shop....friendship, wingz, any chicken is better than this.

This is a must try! I came for lunch yesterday with my friend and had the shrimp pasta which was delicious then came by myself for the pizza today for lunch because it smelled so good baking while we were eating yesterday and I’m glad I did! Absolutely fantastic! Great crisp on the crust and the flavor is incredible!

Fried chicken was good but not great, but chicken nuggets were really good. Best part is all the different sauces you can choose from. Staff very friendly and fun atmosphere in the middle of Placencia.

Great place, in fact the best food I had while in Placencia. Honestly it was very hard for me to find any edible food in Belize so keep in mind this is all relative. This was not 5 star dining but when you are starving it hit the spot. This is an American style bar and restaurant, owned by Americans, serving American style pub and fried food. It was comfortable for us although not very adventurous or unique. Large portions, fast service, fair prices. The bartenders were great. The ambiance was fun inside here. They obviously do a big business as it was packed. They have a separate take away counter as well. We apparently missed karaoke but I'm sure it's a great time. Definitely check this place out, it's in the center of all the action.
