Happy Island Beach Bar & Grill

I had a nice time here! The different places along secret beach don’t seem to have a problem with you walking through so there’s no harm in walking to find the place that fits your vibe 😊 The bar tenders were really nice to me and I felt attended to. The music they had playing was nice! The bartenders even share with me the tiny turtle they found on the beach. I just cannot attest to a busy day. It was easy for me to switch between a beach lounge chair and the tables in the water whenever I wanted. I felt pretty easy about leaving my stuff around as well which is a nice feeling when you want to relax 😇 Also the prices were totally reasonable when considering all circumstances.

Pancho was the best! so funny and gave us great service. Beautiful views, best food we had in Belize.

Nice area. Was able to get chairs by the water. Of course the water is unbelievable at the whole area of Secret Beach. Service was a little slow for drinks. Our biggest surprise was the bill that had a $30 Belize cook surcharge for our nachos. Never heard of this and no one told us about it when ordering. Sort of soured our overall experience.

Overall we give those places a 5 star review less the service. If you read thru the reviews this isn't a new issue. Your waiter will take your order and it takes a bit for you to get your drink. Which is strange as you would think this would be the fastest service to egt the most money out if you. But nonetheless if you are not in a hurry, this place is excellent. We went on a weekday and it was not very busy. So we can't attest to what it would be like on a busy day. We had no issues getting a lounger near the beach as well as a table with umbrella in the water when required. Food was excellent. The shrimp scampi may have been the best we ever had. Burger was very good and Onion Rings were freshly made, very tasty. Also took advantage of the massage right there on the beach and it was fabulous and would highly recommend this additional treat!

This is a beach on Secret Beach. We ordered jerk chicken and a burger; both were so good. They brought out this habanero sauce, and I mixed it with my BBQ sauce. That joint was delicious. We ended up getting in the water from this beach and didn't have any availability in the shade. Don't you all know they made a way? It was so nice of them to do that for us. I also had a shot of rum and a blue viper shot. There weren't any instructions on drinking this one; it was just pretty.
