Hotel Zaculeu

For the price it's okay, but it's mostly immigrants, the bathrooms are shared, the power goes out, and the beds are awful, so I wouldn't recommend it.

If you stay at that hotel, you're really looking for something cheap. But it's a filthy, smelly hotel, infested with various pests: giant cockroaches, mosquitoes, and spiders. The beds are beyond belief; you wake up sore. And the bathrooms are simply disgusting. They don't provide soap, and the water in the sinks ran out, leaving a stench coming from the pipes that left you wondering about the state of the water. Honestly, they really need to improve many things because everything is in bad shape.

This place is out of date, in desperate need of maintenance and cleaning. There is a listing on Air bnb which has not been updated since 2016 and is completely inaccurate. The rooms are small with a fan and in some cases a broken mosquito net in the window. The bathroom is separated and unisex with no paper or privacy. Further down the single corridor is the shower with icy water and nowhere to leave clothes or towels. I know they say you get what you pay for but this was ridiculous.

This place is the worst room ive ever seen. There is only a bed and a fan. It's shared bathrooms for all guests which they're disgusting and the shower had only a tube coming from the ceiling with really cold water and nowhere to hang towels or clothes. Also the location seemed like a very dangerous place. Would never stay again.

If you're looking for something cheap, this is the place for you. Most of the beds are practically falling apart, the shared bathroom doesn't even have a clothes rack or hot water, and there's no toilet paper. There are also a few cockroaches the size of horses. The Wi-Fi connection can be slow to connect because only the owner has the password, and he'll send it to you on your phone.
