📍 GJ7M+M63, Placencia Rd, Placencia, Belize

This is the best restaurant in Placencia. Best meal from start to finish. I took my partner on a romantic date here. We started with the tostones for appetizers and I got their caipirinha and she ordered their ginger mojito. Both drinks were delicious especially the ginger mojito. After that I ordered their coffee crusted snapper and she got the red curry snapper. Both dishes surpassed our expectations. I also tried their orange old fashion which was tasty and an interesting twist. We finished with desert to and she got the key lime pie and I got their coconut flan. This flan melts in your mouth and is so full of flavor. It was light as well which I enjoyed. We talked about this meal days after. It’s a must visit.

The Rumfish was a great restaurant to get local seafood and drinks. The lionfish crudo was very tasty! We also had the red snapper curry, fish stew, and the coffee rubbed pescada. Delicious!💯 Our dinner was great! I can't say enough about the food, full of flavor! The coffee rubbed pescada was the best in all Belize! Our service was great and everyone was very welcoming. The Rumfish is definitely a family favorite. Thank you!

We loved the coffee rubbed pescado so much we came back a second night! The coffee flavor was so interesting and the coconut rice went so nicely with the avocado crema and mango salsa. Super refreshing! The lionfish crudo was also very nice. I really appreciated that they provided free water and continuously filled up your water glass as well (shout out to the nice employee who kept filling our water glasses - we were dehydrated and it was much appreciated). This is definitely my restaurant of choice in Placencia.

Although the reviews are mixed, I think that this place is a nice escape from the typical bar food of burgers, pizza, and fried crap. The prices are elevated but the food was worth it. The Rumfish lasagna was unique and tasty. My wife had the Snapper curry it was very good. The reason I gave it a 4 rating are the cocktails. I dont think they put any alcohol. They are more like moctails save you money and stick to beer which they cant mess up. The service was good . They seated us right away. The place is clean and well decorated. It is a little warm on the outside porch seating but you came here for the warmth so it is to be expected. You should check it out during your stay.

This is one of those places you “pop in for one drink” and somehow end up closing the place down in the best possible way. It nails that sweet spot between laid‑back beach town vibes and seriously good food and cocktails. Cocktails are playful and strong—in a good way—with things like jalapeño or orange margaritas and seasonal mojitos that go down a little too easily. Lion fish crudo, was fantastic! (Pictured)
