The Dock Cafe And Bar

I went into the dock bar with my husband - we’re on our honeymoon, but I am just barely recovering from bad food poisoning. I was struggling but wanted to go try and get a drink with him so badly. Immediately Henry the owner introduced himself to us, talked us through the drink menu and asked what kind of drinks we were interested in. I asked if they had anything with ginger because I wasn’t feeling so hot and he said ‘do you mind if i go back there myself and make you a drink? (He wasn’t working that night) …so of course I said, wow! Sure! He comes back with the most perfect ranch water with angostura bitters…salted perfectly for electrolytes. And it made me feel so much better. It was so unbelievably thoughtful and above and beyond. He did not have to do that. He didn’t even have to say hi or introduce himself to us, but he did. And it made it possible for me to enjoy a drink with my husband after a few days of him having to hang out alone. Even if you’re feeling top tier - if Henry is behind the bar, have him make you a ranch water because it was *chefs kiss*

Way too overpriced, even for a Caye Caulker waterfront bar. Piña Colada did taste good though.

Oh, what a gem. We love to go to the dock when they have their open mic nights. The bartenders are very attentive and super kind.

Bartenders didn’t even know the drinks on their own menu. The margarita we got was far too sweet. I don’t expect the Four Seasons at a beachside bar, but you should at least know how to sling some basic drinks. I will say the happy hour is a good deal for Belikin beers and a rum on the rocks. Otherwise, skip this spot, as there are plenty of other better places for a drink on Caye Caulker’s lovely oceanfront.

The bartenders made me an AMAZING cheese and fruit board. They went above and beyond to accommodate me being vegetarian and had fruit delivered to add more to the plate to ensure I had enough to eat since they offer a charcuterie board that I asked to be modified. They were all so incredibly sweet, kind, and thoughtful. I really appreciated all the time and effort they put into helping me! The cheese board turned out very cute too!
