Went to try the rum tasting and we had an excellent time. Yessica was such a gracious host and very knowledgeable about the rums and tequila. She showed us how to differentiate between different grades as well as the best way to taste rums. The aged rum was a complex layer of tastes but I preferred the mixing rum for a smoother, sweeter taste. They pack the products you buy in bubble wrap that makes it safe to transport in luggage. Yessica realized we were planning to walk around San Pedro before returning to the hotel and she offered to send it to our hotel without any additional charges. Definitely recommended if you are looking to experience Belize rum.

Loved our time at the Tiburon Tasting room! Gianni (Mrs. F) was incredible!! When in San Pedro, you’ve got to go visit Mrs. F! She’ll take care of you!

An absolute highlight in Belize. Giani’s knowledge is incredible. What we thought would be a quick stop turned into a long, memorable visit filled with beautiful stories, history, and genuine passion for Tiburon Rum. She made us feel truly welcome, not rushed, and we walked away having learned so much more than just how great the rum is. If you’re even considering a visit, do it. This experience alone is worth the stop.

Giani was better than half the rums we tried but that doesn’t mean the spirits weren’t amazing. The 8 year Reserve Blend is aged in whiskey barrels from Buffalo Trace - I’ve never had a rum with sophisticated bourbon notes like this before and I must say I was very impressed. The White Tip was a good mixing rum. The Fin Tequila has only been out for a year and again, I’ve never tried a tequila with such a yogurty, cheesecake, sweet rich flavor profile without having additives. The Coffee Infused Rum (which takes 3 days to buy if you want a bottle because they have to make each bottle by hand) was my girlfriend’s favorite. I can imagine this being absolutely fire in an Espresso Martini. All around, great experience for $25 and you get to keep the glass!

Very friendly and engaged "rum tasting guide," we learned how to appreciate rum - it isn't just paint thinner for getting drunk! We bought two bottles of the 8 year dark, can't wait to bring it home to enjoy. She also had some excellent input on local sites to check out, and a restaurant around the corner we would never have found!
