Toucan Jacks Tiki Bar

I did not stay at the hotel as I had a beach cabana 30 seconds away. But Toucan Jacks was my go to at least once every day in Placencia. Great relaxed atmosphere on the beach, excellent drinks and ice cold Belikin beer, and above of all the service - Melissa (Mel) was the best. Highest recommendation.

Disappointed. I was the only person there one afternoon. It had been a long, hot day, and I was hungry, and they only had limited food availability, but they were close to my rental. The poppers were okay; nothing special. The margarita had surprisingly little flavor; seemed watered down. Didn't seem like good value for the money. Server was friendly enough but I had to find her; I wasn't sure they were even open. Maybe better later in the evening and/or with other people?

Stopped here for a couple of hours while we were in Placencia, enjoyed a rum flight and some very awesome fries. Wonderful beach and view. Great service with Bob Marley playing on the sound system. The perfect way to spend an afternoon.

The spot is convenient and the service is really good. Cute little sitting area with high tops and sofa type lounge. Live music is just ok, we would rather something local than expats singing cover. That's just our personal preference. They have two small fryers for some easy apps.

Great place to spend the day. They have a pool and poolbar at the beach. Jolly makes amazing cocktails and brings a great positive vibe to the place. Definitely a must visit when in town.
