Tropical Escape Restaurant & Bar

Was really disappointed in the menu. The menu is not what is posted on their website. They removed many sides I was looking forward to like the bok choy and spicey green beans and garlic broccoli: all removed. The sides are mostly starches that I don't eat. The lobster bisque was good, but the veggies had no place in the dish and it was not as thick as bisque should be, but the flavor was good. The octopus appetizer was really good. We won't rush back.

The best chicken kabobs we’ve ever had! (forgot to take a pic of them we ate them so fast!!) The food was absolutely delicious , and we would have eaten here multiple times if we’d been in town longer. Great atmosphere and wonderful service — such a fantastic experience!!

Vibes for this restaurant were great, it is in collaboration with a resort. Big sandy area in the back for lounging, cornhole. Went for lunch and got Chaya Dip, Conch Fritters, blackened snapper fish burger and Caribbean burgers AND watermelon juice. The fish burgers were great, the snapper was very fresh and the watermelon juice was FANTASTIC! The Caribbean burger bread was a bit soggy but good flavor. Could not attest to the dinner menu but believe it would be better than lunch.

We had an amazing experience here. The restaurant is just as photographed in the reviews. The service level was amazing and the people were kind. We had the coconut jerk fish, coconut rice, fries, pineapple pork chops, creamed spinach and house salad. The entrees were okay, but service outweighed everything. Don’t forget to ask your server about the history of ownership here. Very interesting story. Beautiful views as well.

We had an amazing experience at Tropical Escape! We came here 3 times because we loved it so much. The food was absolutely delicious, we got so many of their dishes and it was all so flavorful, whatever seasonings they're using are amazing. Their drinks are also fantastic. They also cooked some fresh caught fish fillets for us that we brought in! They were the best fish fingers I've ever had. The customer service was always top notch. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We loved the relaxed atmosphere. A must visit spot if you’re on Ambergris Caye!!!
